Cameron Ruddock

Position: Hooker. Moved over to England at 18 to study Sports

Coaching Science at St. Mary’s University. Over the course of the 3 years, I gained my RFU level 2 coaching badge, worked in various clubs and schools working with under 13s-18s. Also in that time I played my rugby for the University captaining the first team in my final year and had one season (2014/15) at LIARFC in National 3. I am currently working towards my level 3 badge.

After graduating I moved to Cambridge to play for CRUFC in National 1 and gained 59 caps in 3 seasons. I am currently playing for Barnes RFC in National 2 South. My love for coaching comes from love for the game and being able to be involved in coaching sport as much as possible is such a great thing to do for work.

Favourite player to watch is Dane Coles and was Schalk Brits, both players of my position and who are exciting, mobile and inspire me how I want to play hooker. My favourite coaching memory to date was when Barnes U18s in my first year as head coach won the Surrey Waterfall Cup.
